The Verbal Mosh: NYCC Contest!!!

That's right. If you've been keeping up with our podcast, you are well aware that we've been planning to put together another contest. And here it is!

We will be selecting two winners, at random.

The prize.... one 3-day pass to New York Comic-Con 2011 for each of the chosen winners.

To Enter, you can do one or all of the following. The more you enter, the better chance of winning:

1. Follow this blog and comment on this post with your favorite comic book title*.
2. Follow us on twitter-
3. Fan us on Facebook-
4. Send us an email to theverbalmosh (AT) explaining why you'd love to go to NYCC.

*Editing for clarity: Favorite comic book title, doesn't necessarily mean the title to a story arc. It means the name of the book. For example: Batman and Robin, Sweet Tooth, The Amazing Spider-Man, The Walking Dead, etc, etc. :)

And that's that. The contest closes on Labor Day (September 5, 2011) so you have plenty of time to enter. We will draw the names of the winners out of a hat. Be sure that we will be able to get back in contact with you if you are chosen. If not, we may have to draw up new names/winners.

Don't forget to check out our podcast!
Good Luck :)

  1. As far as inventive titles go I'd have to say that Charismagic was pretty good but my favourite comic at this point is a tie between the Catwoman comics (especially the Adam Hughes covers) and Batgirl: Year One. Seeing Barabara Gordon at the beginning of her journey to badassery was pretty sweet. The Doctor Who comics are always good, too.

  2. My favorite classic comic book title was Stan Lee and Jack Kirby's run on Fantastic Four because they really were trailblazers in the industry. My current favorite would have to be Secret Avengers.

  3. I really do not have a favorite comic book title. My favorite comic would naturally be 'Detective Comics' #27 the first appearance of The Bat-Man. The cover said "Starting this issue: The amazing and unique adventures of The Batman". I love Batman. I think if any title came to me most it would be 'The Batman Chronicles'. However that is not a comic book, just a trade paperback.

  4. That's an awesome prize! I'm not entering though, because I like comics, but not enough to have a favorite title :)

  5. What If: Aunt May was the Silver Surfer. From way back when they had Assistant Editors month.

  6. favorite title has to be New avengers. Bendis has been doing amazing things with these characters.

  7. Amazing spiderman is probably a all time favorite. The amount of stories that have been told and the am,ount a guest apperances that you have, you kind of get a bit of everything.
