Comics Rant: Walking Dead #125

Written by: Robert Kirkman
Art by: Charlie Adlard

Last we left this book, Rick was shot with an arrow that was thought to have walked splooge all over it. That means he would slowly die and become a walker, but he seems to be the only person who isn't getting sick. Maybe the arrow was clean?

Eugene and his crew from Negan's old hangout finally arrive at the hilltop just in time to help clean things up. Back at the makeshift hospital, Rick is up and walking as a young boy's father dies of sickness. Carl then says the absolute smartest thing he's ever uttered in this entire book. He tells the boy that one day, someone is going to tell him to get over it. To not be sad at death, for it is inevitable. He tells the boy to do his best at ignoring that person. To hold onto that pain. It makes us human, and it's so easy to lose.

Rick sets up a meeting and concludes he's not sick. He wants to take a group out to meet Dwight and talk to see if there's anything else they can do. Meanwhile, another group would follow and flank Negan, if he attacks. Luckily (depending on which way you look at it) Negan brings the "talking" to lathe Hilltop. He shows up to the town demanding them to surrender since they've gotten their asses handed to them. Then out steps Rick.

Baffled, Negan starts looking to Dwight for answers to no avail. Rick steps down and straight bitches Negan. Calls him stupid and tells him he needs to get the f$&@*%g picture. He offers them to work together. They have a common enemy, the walkers. They have an entire planet to share, they shouldn't be fighting. Negan starts to realize this and start to seethe error of his ways. And that's when Rick cuts a nice small gash into his neck.

Oh man, this was an intense issue. Everything has come down to this, one issue left in the mega event All Out War. Battles have been fought and lives lost. The bets and the gloves are off and anything goes with one issue left!
